Thomas V. Giel Corporation , based in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania and only minutes from Pittsburgh, began providing garage door sales, installation and service in 1950. The company has experienced strong and steady growth in garage door sales and service for residential, commercial and builder markets in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Still family owned and operated, our dedicated team of employees remains committed to the same foundation of high standards of service, quality, and workmanship that Thomas Giel built the business upon. Founded in 1950 by Tom Giel, our company was incorporated in 1974. During the 1980’s, father and son worked to transform the business from a “mom and pop” shop to a corporation that today has 25 to 30 full time employees, with 18 full-time trucks to service their customer's needs.
